Today I’m sharing my fall table decoration ideas in hopes that it will inspire your creativity in your own home. Fall has all those wonderful warm colors, of yellows, oranges, browns, and reds, that provide such warmth to a room. I like to use those colors in items I find in nature for my decorating. They provide great texture and contrast in my displays, items such as pine cones, leaves, seed pods, gourds, and so on. You can also find a variety of Indian corn, pumpkins, ornamental gourds and mums in grocery stores this time of the year to use in your decorating.
You will see in my decorations I have made poppy pod balls from my harvest of poppy pod seed from my spring crop. I used the pods in making these unique organic balls. I even added some antlers I had for interest.
My grandchildren helped me collect acorn caps, in late February, that I made the acorn cap balls with. Both are fun craft projects to make with children age 7 and up. I will post a step-by-step on making these unique ball ornaments at another time.
I used gourds (bottle neck, bird nest and ornamental s) I have grown, that when dried, cleaned, sanded and lightly stained gives interesting shape and contrast in displays.
You can find beautiful realistic fall leaves and other fall decor at Hobby Lobby and Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft stores, or you can……
…….. get outside and look around and see what fall items you can find in nature, to create your own unique centerpiece. Gods Blessings!
