Our friends and family always love my kitchen Christmas decorations. The poinsettia and rose theme continues in the kitchen with accents of greenery, candy canes, cookie cutters and so on. Check out my photos! The china hutch is from my parents. I love decorating the inside with special keepsakes from family and friends along with my china, my parent’s wedding china and depression glass set.

My mother, Ruby, gave me the pretty Christmas cups and saucers many years ago. The Santa mugs are from my childhood, as is the tiny angel bell and NOEL train on the top shelves.

I added light touches of greenery, berries and white ceramic doves on the tops of the cabinets in the kitchen and china hutch, below are some examples.

One of my primary colors in our kitchen is blue. I have decorated the tops of the cabinets with various dishware and glassware that compliments my blue cobalt theme, along with a few oil lamps and other accent pieces.400ddd

Below is the cookie cutter, candy cane Christmas tree (seen on Christmas Tree Decorating post). This has been a favorite tree in my kitchen for some twenty-nine years, along with the cookie cutter jar, plates, Santa baker and ornaments. Cookie cutters have been important to me since my grandmother, Selma Sander, helped my sister and brother make cut-out cookies, ice and decorate them at Christmastime. I shared this precious memory with my sons when they were growing up. Through the years I have acquired lots of cookie cutters for using various times of the year. I have shared this tradition with my grandchildren too.
