This is our den and foyer Christmas decorations I completed in November, but just now being able to have time to post. I hope you will find some of my decorations helpful next year as you prepare to decorate.
Our decorations as you enter our front doors feature the nativity given to me by my Grandmother Clara Kobs some thirty-nine years ago.
I arranged greenery, lights, pine cones, berries, birds and an angel on top of the mirror.
I placed our tree in the corner of the den and foyer wall so it can be seen from multiple rooms.
I added greenery, lights, poinsettias, pine cones and ribbon to the top of the entertainment unit.
This view shows our back entry into our den.
This is an arrangement I made for our back entry that features our three beloved dogs Ladybird, Chloe and Freckles. This box was a gift from my friend Shelly three years ago, that is a music box that plays “Silent Night”.
Our fireplace features a Longhorn steer which was given to me by my friend, Catherine. It was her fathers, who was very dear friend to me and my husband. I decorated it with white lights and a red rose (a Georgia O’Keeffe inspiration). I continued my theme of red roses and poinsettias and added brass candle sticks.
Below the mantel I have the two small trees I featured in my post on Christmas Tree Decorating. On the left side of the fireplace we have a cabinet with Christmas glasses, that I accented with a Christmas Lenox plate, a canvas photo, that I took of our home in December 10, 2009, and a caricature of my husband and me above.
This is the table between our den chairs I’ve decorated with a small rose arrangement and a poinsettia scarf my great-great-grandmother crocheted. The background is our kitchen, which I featured in my post Kitchen Christmas Decorations.
Accent table features a poinsettia tree ball arrangement with greenery, beaded ornaments, vintage ornaments, Christmas plate, and a German Wooden 3-Tier Nativity Scene.
Above the table is a poinsettia watercolor painting I did twenty some years ago. I love the contrast in colors.
This concludes my Christmas decor for this year, 2015. I hope I have blessed and inspired you with my decorating. It’s all to glorify my Lord & Savior, because without His blessings on me I would not be able to share my talents and gifts with you. Until my next post…. God Bless You!
